Spring Engagement Session at Roger Williams Park | Danielle and Paul

Obviously 2020 was a rough year for everyone. So it felt soooooo good to begin my 2021 wedding season with this gorgeous spring engagement session at Roger Williams Park with Danielle and Paul! They picked a perfect spring day, the weather was gorgeous! Apparently everyone in Rhode Island agreed because there were so many people there enjoying the park! 😂. No worries for us, though. We were able to find beautiful light! And I used lots of strategies to make sure that Danielle and Paul didn’t have random strangers photo bombing in the background…even if it meant I needed to climb into a bush! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Whatever it takes!

Danielle and Paul met online and had their first date at the 99 Restaurant! They love to go out to dinner, watch Friends, go to Disney, eat ice cream……I’m guessing you can already tell why I think they’re amazing! They also adore spending time with their puppy, Stella! Stella joined us for their engagement session and she totally rocked it! (Shout out to Danielle’s cousin Lacey for being such a kickass maid of honor and helping out with Stella during the shoot!). Danielle and Paul are getting married next year in the spring, so planning their engagement session in the spring this year seemed like a no brainer. I always ask my couples if they are comfortable with certain things…and when I asked if they were ok with Paul picking Danielle up he said “….oh, that’s our pose! I always pick her up and put her on my shoulders! When we bought our house we did that pose!”….so obviously now we HAD to do exactly that!

Once they were totally comfortable in front of the camera (total naturals, obviously!) it was time to change into their a dressier second outfit. Aren’t they absolutely adorable together?!?
