A Red Lion Inn Wedding | Alexis and Tyler

Alexis and Tyler planned a beautiful summer day at the Red Lion Inn for their wedding! This venue in Cohasset, MA was so wonderful! The coordinator, Katie, worked with me all day to keep this sweet couple cool and hydrated because it was possibly the most humid day ever!

These two are absolutely the sweetest! And they aren’t just sweet to everyone around them….the way they look at each other is enough to give you cavities! Together they love to hike, read and hang out with their pets! I knew when I heard their dog’s name was Leia that these were my people! And then I found out that for their second date they went skydiving together. Seriously, they are a dream!

Alexis and her wedding party were able to get hair and makeup done right at the venue, which is a huge bonus (no driving around to multiple locations on your wedding day!) The team from Lady Luxe Beauty did a beautiful job! Once they were all ready we moved to the bridal suite to get her into her beautiful WToo Wedding Gown from Flair Boston!

I always love when couple’s choose to do a first look! If you are even remotely considering skipping this on your wedding day I would strongly encourage you to check out my blog about first looks here! It might give you some perspective that you hadn’t considered!

Anyway, when my couples choose to share a first look we do it completely privately. They walk towards each other so they still get those ‘walking down the aisle’ vibes, but without everyone staring at them! And then (and most importantly) they get to spend the rest of their day together instead of waiting until their ceremony!

Here are a few of my favorites from their first look and their first quick round of couple’s portraits!

The ceremony was held in the barn at Red Lion Inn in Cohasset and the space is stunning! I also just want to make sure you all take note that sharing a First Look together did not take anything away from the ‘walking down the aisle’ moment. I’m just saying. 😘

Just look at him! He is the sweetest! Also, take note guys, choose someone to stand by your side who is this happy for you!

Can I share a secret with you guys? Only those of us right up front could hear Alexis joke to Tyler that he was “the one who was supposed to cry”. 😭

Tyler’s mom is the artist behind all of the gorgeous floral arrangements and bouquet! Absolutely stunning work! The flowers were provided by Fifty Flowers! 💐

When it was time for the reception to begin Alexis and Tyler just strolled down the grand staircase, no big introduction. They didn’t need to make a big fuss entering the party, they wanted to keep it a little more low-key. You would never be able to tell that from their amazing first dance! By the way, in case you didn’t know, I LOVE choreography! 😂💜😭👏🏼 Tyler let me in on the news that they had gone to a few dance lessons and they more than paid off!

Then it was time for toasts! And when you have a couple that is truly this sweet a LOT of people want to share a toast to you! It is very possible that there may or may not have been one that included a story about a groom and his speeding tickets! 🤣. It’s also possible there was another about a bride, when she was much younger, wandering off by herself on a cruise ship! 😂🥂

Montilio’s Bakery created this beautiful, savory Italian cake! It was absolutely gorgeous…and delicious!
