Newport Summer Engagement | Samantha and Tim

Samantha and Tim’s Newport summer engagement session was one of those golden summer evenings that felt straight out of a dream. This session was full of golden hour glow, perfect weather, and coastal charm. We started their session at the stunning Ochre Court in Newport, Rhode Island. This stunning location brings timeless elegance to every frame. The soft breeze off the ocean, the warm glow of golden hour, and the incredible architecture made for the perfect backdrop as these two laughed, danced and snuggled together.

From the very beginning, Samantha and Tim were so sweet and easy together. Their connection was effortless—genuine smiles, quiet moments, and plenty of laughter. Allegedly they were nervous at the start. But you could tell they were completely at ease in each other’s company. This helped them to quickly forget that they were being photographed.

Their outfits couldn’t have been more perfect for the setting and the light. Samantha wore a soft, flowy dress in a light neutral tone that caught the evening light beautifully, and Tim’s clean, classic look complemented hers perfectly. Together, they stood out just enough against the elegant Newport backdrops while still keeping the photos feeling airy, bright, and romantic. Clearly, everything came together perfectly!

Afterwards, as the sun dipped lower, we made our way to our final stop. Castle Hill Inn Lighthouse. This spot is always a favorite, and for good reason. The way the light dances across the water at sunset, paired with the peacefulness of the rocky shoreline, always creates the perfect spot for a sweet session. Samantha and Tim soaked up the last of the sunlight with quiet moments by the lighthouse, wrapped up in each other. So perfect. They also shared a few playful moments together, too.

Finally we headed over to a nearby quiet beach spot for a few quiet moments in the haze of blue hour and a cotton candy sky. Obviously this was the perfect ending to their Newport summer engagement session.
