Danielle and Paul had an incredible day for their Grand View wedding at the Grand View Ballroom in Mendon, Massachusetts! I could not have asked for a better kick off to the 2022 wedding season! It was such a beautiful, fun, emotional day! The weather was a roller coaster ride of emotions all by itself! Paul and Danielle were both getting ready at a hotel in Milford, about ten minutes from the venue. While we were there it stormed, then the sun came out, then it started hailing chunks of ice from the sky. It was crazy!! But it didn’t even seem to bother this sweet couple!

At the hotel Danielle had her hair and makeup done. Hair stylist Hair by Taryn and makeup artist Boston Beauty by Angella (from Travelers Beauty Company) did a beautiful job! Her bridesmaids were there getting ready, too! They wore these adorable matching jumpers…that may have been a little “long in the crotch.” LOL! No matching outfits for the guys, just laughs and a toast before we all headed over for the Grand View Wedding!

When we pulled up to the Grand View some of the sky was blue…and some of it not so blue. We had no idea if we were going to be able to have there ceremony outdoors or not. Danielle opted to wait to get into her wedding gown at the venue in the beautiful bridal suite. She didn’t want to take a chance of getting it hailed on! Danielle’s mom passed away a few months ago, so her maid of honor stepped in to help her get into her gorgeous wedding gown.

Just look at that crazy, bi-polar, ominous sky above her!

Then it was time for her to share a first look with her father. That was a lot. As a mom, who also lost her own mom a few years ago, I knew this was going to be very emotional for everyone. I could see all the feels all over his face. He was both beaming and heart broken at the same time. Get your tissues ready.

Paul, on the other hand, was all smiles to see his bride. This is why I LOVE first looks! So much joy! Sharing this private moment before the craziness of the day starts makes a world of difference! I am obsessed with first looks, and if you want to know more about why then read this blog post! Or, just look at these two together getting to spend time together with out all their guests! Their faces!

Mother Nature cooperated for portraits after the first look! We were able to spend a few quick minutes taking their wedding party portraits outdoors! We even had a couple of minutes for some quick portraits of the couple before guests started to arrive!

Paul says it’s time to marry his beautiful bride! And they kicked off the ceremony with a “flower dude!” And he was everything!! Then Danielle’s dad walked her down the aisle. Danielle may have had to pick flower dude’s petals off of Paul’s head. 😂

Here is where the weather got a little wild again. It started to drizzle. The wind picked up and it got a little bit cool out. But it was totally worth it for what was to come next…

They said their vows. They exchanged their rings. And then, as if right on cue, a massive rainbow started to cover the sky above them! Unbelievable! It definitely felt like magic. And we all started to cry. Everyone.

And that rainbow hit it’s brightest moment right, even shining a faint double rainbow, right as Danielle and Paul shared their first kiss. Like someone special sprinkled some pixie dust on their day! 😭 ✨

A Grand View Wedding will always include a reception in their stunning ballroom space! Alysha and the staff at the venue are truly amazing! They took amazing care of this sweet couple and kept us on time, even when the weather really tried to throw us!

We snuck out before the party really got going for a few quick sunset portraits!

Dance Floor Mafia did an awesome job running the show and keeping everyone entertained. There was a really fun game, and then that dance floor didn’t stop! Danielle and Paul’s guests were definitely ready to party! I don’t think I’ve ever blogged this many dance floor photos…but I just had to!
