Arnold Arboretum Engagement | Lizi and Ryan

On the anniversary of their engagement, Lizi, Ryan and I chased the light around for their Arnold Arboretum engagement photos! These high school sweethearts had their first date back in 2010. In classic high school first date fashion they went to TGI Fridays and a movie at the mall. Now they still love going out to dinner, maybe a little fancier that TGI Fridays. They also love wine tasting and hiking together. So we did exactly that! We hiked around the arboretum, and they brought a bottle of wine to “toast”, we obviously didn’t actually have an open container in the middle of the park. LOL.

They shared with me that the have taken a little break from their own wedding planning. Instead, they spent most of the summer together attending weddings. And now they can’t wait for it to be their turn! So they did do some work setting up their wedding website! They have some photos there from their proposal, which they realized was actually one year ago from the date of their engagement session! So they only do engagement things on September seventeenth. Apparently there is a pretty epic photo of Ryan attempting to wink at the camera before the proposal. But he doesn’t think he’s a great “winker.” So I obviously had to have him wink for me during the session. Wait until you see it, it’s pretty perfect!
